Omah's

Might as well. While i'm in a blogging mood.

I've been meaning to blog about this place (I've already been three times) but I keep forgetting.

136-138 Rouse Street, Port Melbourne
www.omahs.com

about $20+ for mains

It's one of those places we accidentally discovered. We got an Omah's flyer in our mailbox one time and we decided to go try it out. This was over 6 months ago. We had Banquet 2 then, which was really really good.

Since our first time, we've gone back twice. The last time was with Lianne when she came over to visit in December. Not as amazing as our first time but still pretty good.

Would recommend the soft shell crab and the 5 spice calamari (Karima, shut up.).

Not really a cheap place but not too expensive either. Nice dinner date place though.

the Willows

12.30pm, Wednesday, 24 Jan
St Kilda Rd, Melbourne

2 x Chili salt calamari, side order of chips, lemon-lime bitters - $39 for both me and Karima

Yum, yum, yum. Karima reminded me that I haven't blogged about this place yet when we went here for lunch today.

It's my favorite weekday lunch place. They've been closed since last month and I've been waiting ages and ages for them to open. I've already attempted to eat at Willows twice during the time they've been on holiday. But, yey, they're open now.

I love the calamari. Best calamari dish I've had. Anywhere. They used to serve wedges which were amazing but now they've got regular chips instead, which isn't as good.

The food's amazing and the place looks nice as well (it's normally a posh restaurant) and you can choose to eat on the deck or inside. The lunch menu is very affordable.
Highly recommended. I would go back again. And again. And again.

Uh-oh

No, our last eat-out was not 23 December. We've gone out to eat quite a number of times since then. I can't remember any of them at this time though. Well, vaguely but not to blog about them.

I have to regroup...
